Beef Burgers with Kale and Cheese

Burgers. But the have kale. So it's healthy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) ground beef
  • ½ pound (227 g) beef sausage, crumbled
  • 1½ cups chopped kale
  • ¼ cup chopped scallions
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup grated Romano cheese
  • ¹⁄₃ cup crumbled blue cheese
  • Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon crushed dried sage
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Place 1½ cups of water and a steamer basket in your Instant Pot.
  2. Mix all ingredients until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into 6 equal sized patties. Place the burgers in the steamer basket.
  4. Secure the lid. Choose Manual mode and High Pressure; cook for 6 minutes. Once cooking is complete, use a quick pressure release; carefully remove the lid.
